Baghdad, January 9, 2025 – Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, officially inaugurated the Unified Emergency Number (911) project today at the Central Directorate of Response and Control under the Ministry of Interior. This landmark project, executed with cutting-edge technology and the highest standards by IRAQSpectrum and Al-Aydy Al-Amina, marks a significant step in Iraq’s journey toward enhanced emergency response and public service infrastructure.
During the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Al-Sudani praised the pivotal role played by IRAQSpectrum and Al-Aydy Al-Amina in delivering the project, which represents a transformative milestone in Iraq’s security and service sectors. He emphasized that the 911 system is more than just a hotline; it is the backbone of an integrated emergency response network operating 24/7 to handle reports of incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activities.

“This project embodies the government’s vision to modernize Iraq’s security and service systems,” stated the Prime Minister. “Thanks to the dedication and professionalism of national leaders like IRAQSpectrum and Al-Aydy Al-Amina, we are making a real difference in improving public safety and strengthening citizens’ trust in our institutions.”
The project consolidates 26 different emergency numbers into a single, easily accessible hotline—911—designed to handle a wide range of emergencies, including traffic accidents, fires, and crimes. It also facilitates receiving security-related information, complaints, and inquiries, efficiently redirecting them to relevant authorities.
Additionally, the project includes the establishment of 51 sub-response stations across Iraq, equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and staffed by highly trained personnel. These teams are prepared to provide high-quality assistance in multiple languages to ensure swift and effective responses to emergencies.
IRAQSpectrum and Al-Aydy Al-Amina expressed their pride in contributing to this national initiative, reaffirming their commitment to supporting Iraq’s digital transformation and improving safety and service standards nationwide.
